Mass Hospital School Announces Solar Energy Partnership

Sungevity to offer the chance to go solar while raising funds for the school. Sungevity, an award-winning home-solar company, installs solar panels on residences for free when homeowners sign up for a monthly home solar lease. Monthly lease bills are comparable to homeowners’ pre-solar electric bills, and for each installation, Sungevity donates $1,000 to MHS.

Cub Scout Signups

Boys in grades 1 through 5 are invited to learn more about Cub Scouts and Canton’s Pack 77 and Pack 26. There will be a meeting and registration night on Thursday, September 15 at 7:00 at the , 1541 Washington Street. For more information, click here

Global Child Program Registration

Elementary students are invited to sign up for Spanish and Chinese language classes through the Global Child Program. Program fee is $100 per semester and registration is due by September 23. Click here for the registration form. 

Lights Out, Business as Usual at CHS

Dr. Doug Dias, principal of , sent an email to parents on September 2 assuring them that school would open as scheduled on Tuesday, September 6, despite a five-day power outage due to .

Dias wrote: “We are making every effort to respond to all inquiries regarding schedules for the upcoming school year. Students must follow the schedule that will be issued on the first day of school and make appointments with their guidance counselors during a study hall or lunch to make any adjustments. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare for a successful 2011-2012 school year!”

Galvin Basketball Clinics

Four basketball clinics for students in grades 2-6 will be held this year to benefit the 8th grade activity fund at . Clinics are $25 each and will run on October 10, November 11, January 16 and April 6 (all school holidays.) For more information and registration form, click here.
