A win for the Warriors plus bully-proofing for parents.

Blue Hills Wins, Advances to Semi-Finals
The Warriors won over the Bristol-Plymouth Craftsmen on , 38-6. With a record of 10-1, the Warriors will advance to the Division 4A state semi-finals tomorrow, where they will play East Boston. Good luck, Warriors!

Mass Hospital Students Visit State House
students visited the Massachusetts State House on October 17. Jude O'Hara, Chair of the Board of Trustees, and Lisa Spindler, parent representative, presented on MHS programs and the school’s significance to the children and families served by the school. Students also toured the nearby John Adams Courthouse, headquarters of the Massachusetts judicial branch.

CPACSS Bullying Workshop
The Canton Parent Advisory Council for Student Services will present a free workshop tomorrow evening called “Bully-Proofing Your Child.” Featuring Dr. Larry Epstein, Director of School-Based Services at the Massachusetts General Hospital Think: Kids program, the workshop will focus on the dynamics of bullying and ways to help children who are targets. Additional topics include relational aggression (the “mean girls” phenomenon) and cyberbullying. Parents will be provided with specific resources and will have an opportunity to ask questions about this important topic. Luce Holiday Shoppe Friday
On Friday December 2, students will have an opportunity to shop for holiday gifts between $2.00 and $6.00 at the Luce Holiday Shoppe. The annual event teaches students about giving to others, comparison shopping, and how to budget. Parent volunteers help the younger children shop, keep the tables stocked, staff the cash boxes, and help the event run smoothly. Featuring whole-dollar pricing to make it easier for the children to add up their purchases, items available will include jewelry, dog toys, scarves, tools, wallets, toy cars, and note pads. Happy shopping!
