Team Hansen Uses Bucket Brigade to Bring Student Expectations to Life

The Performing Arts Director and Canton High students helped the Hansen students and teachers on Monday with their special program.

It was a team effort at on Monday to make sure a Bucket Brigade was successful. Although, the buckets were filled with hopes and expectations–not water.

On Monday, the collaborated with the Canton High School Performing Arts Department to put on a showcase of music and skits.

The show was a way for student to learn about and get excited for "another layer of social and behavioral expectations," Principal said.

With the help of CHS Performing Arts Director , Boucher, along with Hansen Second Grade Teacher Stacia Hanlon came up with the idea for the Bucket Brigade.

The skits and music numbers presented Team Hansen's Three Excellent Expectations (Do your best, Be Respectful, and Do the Right Thing,) to the elementary school students.

"Kids learn how everyone has a "bucket" and how you act can "fill" or "dip" their bucket," Boucher said.

Collmer, along with two Canton High students, collaborated with four Hansen fifth graders to build the skit. 

"It as very powerful and the teachers and students gave us great, positive feedback," the principal said.
