The New England Student Leadership Conference Visited Canton and Revived a Playground

College students helped clean the Hansen School Playground in time for the new school year.

The Hansen Elementary School playground received a much needed makeover this summer by students from the The New England Student Leadership Conference.

On Friday, July 21, aΒ  NESLC (New England Student Leadership Conference) group along with Hansen Elementary School principal, Peter Boucher, were out working in the school playground and getting it ready for the new school year.

The students, along with Boucher, had the playground landscaped in a few hours.

Daniel Reynolds, one of the students from Portsmouth, Rhode Island High School said, "We do anything to help community. The playground was closed because the mulch hadn't been replaced and it wasn't safe for the children."

Peter Boucher, principal of the Hansen Elementary School, suggested Patch readers view the website: MIAA or NESLC.
