VIDEO: Watertown Beats Canton in the Field Hockey State Semifinal
Watertown's Erika Kelly's three goals stood up to Canton's attack. The Bulldogs' comeback bid fell short as the Raiders won 3-2.
For the third straight year Watertown faced in the MIAA Division 2 field hockey state semifinal. And for the third straight year, the Raiders came out victorious.
Both teams came into the game at Westwood High School , with identical 20-0-1 records. The Raiders jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half, but the Bulldogs scored two goals. The clock ran out before they could get a third.
Watertown heads to Worcester State University Saturday to take on Oakmont for the Division 2 state championship. The game begins at 10:00 a.m.
