"He’s a good hitter – plain and simple," Canton High Head Coach Junior Medina said. "But, you've got to treat him just like any other hitter because its early in April."

"There were tough breaks on a couple of routine ground balls that were missed," said Medina. "We’ve got a young squad."

For OA, which advanced to 5-1 on the season, Duggan said the Tigers need to continue to work on hitting to get better. Their offense Sunday was backed by Troy Whitty on the hill, who pitched five innings on 76 pitches, allowing only four hits and one earned run.

The Tigers take on Foxborough Friday at Frothingham Park. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. Canton will take on Stoughton at home Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
