CANTON HIGH SCOREBOARD: Bulldog Boys' Lacrosse to Face Archbishop Williams Tuesday

The Canton High boys' lacrosse team defeated Watertown, 12-10, Friday at home.

After beating Watertown, 12-10, Friday, the Canton High boys' lacrosse team will now be playing Archbishop Williams, Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the East Division 3 touirnament. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students.

Against Mystic Valley, Canton won, 15-3, as the Bulldodgs' Kurt Leavitt scored six seconds into the game and Canton was off and running to the victory. Eleven different players scored for the Bulldogs, including Casey Dwyer, Saleen Elkadi, Matt Bagley and Shayne Walsh. Canton also received strong goaltending from Ben Lodge and Chris Albert.

Despite a strong pitching effort from Jimmy Fitzgerald, the Canton High baseball team lost to Medway, 5-1, Thursday. The Bulldogs got hits from Kevin O'Brien, Sam Larson and Wyatt Golledge. Canton was  2-15 in the regular season, but qualified based on their record against Division 3 opponents. They finished the season with a 2-16. Medway was knocked out the tournament in the first round, losing to Ashland, 9-0, Friday. 

The Canton High girls' tennis team lost to Westwood, 4-1, Friday, in the Division 2 South tournament, ending their season with an 8-9 record.

The No. 1 Hopkinton High girls' lacrosse team ended the Canton High girls' season with a 16-8 win over the Bulldogs Tuesday in Hopkinton in the Division 2 South Tournament. Meg Lennon scored three goals for Canton. The Bulldogs ended their season with an 10-8-2 record. In their first tournament game, the Bulldogs defeated Archbishop Williams, 9-8, Saturday. 

Fall cheerleading tryouts will be held June 3, 4 and 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the Rodman Gym.
