Canton Food Pantry Seeking Volunteer Coordinator

The Canton Food Pantry needs a new co-director.

The is putting out a call for a few good volunteers. The pantry needs to fill the role of co-director.

The co-director's duties include overseeing the distribution of food to families in need in the Town of Canton, according to the pantry's volunteer announcement. The position requires working three to five hours per week on Wednesdays. This is a volunteer position.

The pantry, located at 960R Washington Street, (behind the high school,) serves needy families throughout the town.

Along with a new co-director, the pantry is seeking food donations. For the month of October, the pantry is seeking:

Cereal, Peanut Butter, Spaghetti Sauce, Pasta, Baking Goods, Tuna, Coffee, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Feminine Hygiene Products, Diapers, Canned Vegetables, Jell-O/Pudding and a special request for Halloween Candy for clients to give out to Trick-or-Treaters.

Donations may be dropped off at the following locations:

Mondays 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., and every Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
