Former Boston Celtic Dana Barros Hosts Halloween Fundraiser for Yawkey House of Possibilities

The Yawkey House of Possibilities, serving children and adults with special needs from Canton, Easton, Stoughton and Sharon, will host its annual Halloween "fun-raiser" this weekend.

Bring your goblins, gremlins and ghosts to the Haunted House and Monster Bash hosted by former Boston Celtic Dana Barros and his wife Veronica Barros at the Yawkey House of Possibilities at 350 Washington Street, No. Easton, on Saturday, October 29.  This “fun-raising” event is intended for children and adults with and without special needs who would enjoy an evening of frightful fun prior to Halloween. Hours are 5-7 pm for the Not Scary, Spooky, and Super Spooky tours, and 7-9 pm for the Monster Bash, including games, songs, dances, refreshments, and spooky surprises. Individual tickets for the Haunted House tour and Monster Bash are $13 in advance; add $2 at the door; $5 for the tour alone.

The Haunted House Monster Bash is one of the most popular fun-raisers of the year for the House of Possibilities. It attracts children and adults aged from 8 to 80, and provides a time for the community to come together to share the upcoming Halloween celebration in a safe, welcoming environment. An auction of amazing items, including basketball instruction for you and a group of friends from former Boston Celtic Dana Barros, a basketball autographed by nine-time NBA All-Star Paul Pierce, a football autographed by three-time Super Bowl Champion Matt Light, and other desirable items will help to support HOPe’s high quality programs and weekend respite services for children and adults living with developmental, cognitive and/or physical challenges.

The Haunted Monster Bash Fun-raiser is presented by HOPe’s Saturday Night Live program for teens. To reserve your space now or to learn more about HOPe and its services for individuals needing 24/7 care, email k.nardi@houseofpossibilities.org or phone 508-205-0555.
