Monday Essentials: Canton Fire Department Offering CPR Training Class
CPR Training
The Canton Fire Department will be holding a CPR training event at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21 at the Canton Fire Station at 99 Revere St.
The CPR training "is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This course is ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life."
The course, which is expected to last about 2 hours, is non-credentialed.

The Canton Zoning Board of Appeals meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 22 at the Salah Meeting Room in the Canton Town Hall.

Dirt Dawg Sports Club Softball Tryouts
Dirt Dawg Sports, a baseball and softball training facility owned by three Stoughton residents, is holding club softball tryouts for the 2014 season at their Canton facility (40 Industrial Drive, Unit 3A in Canton, right off Route 138).
Registration fee is $10. Tryouts will be held:
August 24 & 25:
- 10U: 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
- 12U: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- 14U: 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
