Blood Drive in Memory of 9/11

The Canton Police Department is partnering with the American Red Cross and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to hold a blood drive in memory of the victims of 9/11.

The blood drive will be held Friday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Canton Library, just five days before the 12th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

Side Walk Sale

Canton children can meet Boston Red Sox mascot Wally the Green Monster at the Village Shoppe's Sidewalk Sale this weekend.

The outdoor sale will be held Sept. 7 and 8 at the Canton shopping center.

Rosh Hashanah Service

The Temple Beth David of the South Shore in Canton will hold a 10:00 am.  service for the second day Rosh Hashanah on Friday.

Weekend Programs At Blue Hills


10:30 a.m. Nature Tales: Read a book with us and meet a live animal.
1:30 p.m. Live Animal Presentation: Meet one of Trailside’s animal residents.

Swimming at the Bolivar Pool

Public swimming hours for Canton residents at the Bolivar Pool on Bolivar Street in Canton (weekdays & weekends) is from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Local Farmers Markets

The Stoughton Farmers Market is back this Saturday, September 7, bringing fresh produce, baked goods, crafts and entertainment to downtown Stoughton. The Farmers Market will run every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Trackside Plaza (2 Canton Street) from June through October.

Crescent Ridge on Bay Road in Sharon also has a Farmers Market each Saturday from June through October from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
