Located on the backside of campus of the Department of Public Works, the Richard A. Stein Animal Shelter offers shelter to animals who have been injured, lost or dispossessed. Personnel of the shelter are on call 24-hours a day. Additionally, the shelter offers boarding for dogs and cats for a fee, and welcomes visitors and their questions about animal care, regulations and behavior.

The Canton Animal Shelter is one of the finest I've ever seen. A little ragged on the outside but inside it's clean and offers up to date large cages and kennels for the animals. I have 4 cats at home right now and they're awesome! They were all Canton Shelter Animals!!
