<p>The Canton Historical Society is an independent, non-profit research organization and repository, holding hundreds of rare and artifacts and archives that are unique to the history of the town. </p>
<p>The Society uses its collection to serve members and visitors through programs, events, research requests and a museum.</p> <p>Among the treasures that curators work to preserve are local papers dating back a hundred years, historic documents and artifacts, including several pieces of cooper produced by Paul Revere's foundry and photographs and lithographs of historical people and landmarks that have shaped the town's --and the country's--history.</p>
