Christmas Crafting at the Gridley School

Preschool children enjoy the holiday season with festive arts and crafts.

Preschoolers enjoyed a fun afternoon creating holiday themed arts and crafts at The Gridley School on Dec. 3.  The already full holiday program, sponsored by Town of Canton Recreation, will run for the next two Thursdays. The day was filled with smiles as children were engaged in making crafty holiday wreaths, star santa ornaments, tasty marshmallow snowmen and enjoyed singing and playing games.   Through the leadership of preschool Teacher Sandy Hart and Assistant Danielle Slaney, all the kids left in the holiday spirit and with some goodies to show off to their moms and dads.

Crafting Their Way to the Thanksgiving Holiday

Children created Thanksgiving-themed crafts in the Junior Room at The Canton Public Library.

Gearing up for Turkey Day, children from ages four to 12 gathered in The Canton Public Library's Arts and Crafts Room to partake in a Thanksgiving craft project.  With the help of Junior Room Librarian Florence Poznysz and two Girl Scout volunteers, the children made a napkin holder decorated with pilgrims and fall leaves--just in time to use on the Thanksgiving table.
