Investigation Continues into Suspicious Blue Hills Brush Fires
The office of the State Fire Marshal and local investigators are looking into the brush fires along I-93 on Tuesday.
Local and State officials are investigating the suspicious brush fires in the Blue Hills that were discovered on Tuesday afternoon. At least one of the brush fires that slowed down traffic on I-93 and Route 24 on Tuesday was rekindled today. A fire near Randolph reignited late this morning. The bulk of the fires on Tuesday were located around I-93 southbound between Quincy and Braintree. The fires were also reported along the Route 24 split. "In terms of the yesterday's fires, it is suspicious to have several distinct fires around the same area," a spokeswoman from the Office of the State Fire Marshal said.
