The Bulldog boys' ice hockey team edged out North Attleboro, 3-2, Saturday night at Asiaf Rink in Brockton to earn a spot in the Division 2 South semifinals against Oliver Ames.
It's on to the semifinals for the Canton High boys' ice hockey team after a 3-2 win over North Attleboro Saturday night at the Asiaf Rink in Brockton. The Bulldogs will now play Oliver Ames, a 3-1 win over Coyle-Cassidy in the Division 2 South semifinals, probably on Wednesday. Franklin will play Mansfield in the other semifinal game for an All-Hockomock showdown. "I think we've got to work on tightening up defensively," said Canton High head coach Brian Shuman said. "Also e need to get more [offensive] guys in front of the net. Their goalie saw a lot of clean shots and there was no traffic in front. The Canton High boys' ice hockey team will be facing Hockomock League rival North Attleboro in the Division 2 South quarterfinals Saturday at Asiaf Rink in Brockton at 6 p.m.
BOYS' ICE HOCKEY-The Bulldogs are the No. 1 seed in Division 3 will play North Attleboro Satuirday in the quarterfinals at Asiaf Rink in Brockton at 6 p.m. The winner wll face the winner of the Oliver Ames-Coyle-Cassidy game, which is being played at 2 p.m. in Brockton. Canton finished the season with a 15-3-2 record after losing their last game of the season to Coyle-Cassidy. BOYS' BASKETBALL-The Bulldogs lost to Norton, 52-39, first round of the Division 2 South tournament Thursday night. Canton went on the road to Abington for a preliminary round Monday night and returned home with a 62-60 win, knocking the Green Wave out of the tourney. The Canton High girls' basketball team falls to Mansfield.
