The following is an update on how the Canton High athletic teams are doing.

Canton High Volleyball Season Ends in Division 2 Semifinals

The Canton High volleyball team lost to Melrose, 3-0, Tuesday night in the Division 2 semifinals in Billerica.

  The Canton High girls' volleyball perfect season and run in the Division 2 tournament, ending with a 3-0 loss to Melrose in the state semifinals Tuesday night at Billerica High School. With the loss, the Bulldogs finished their season with a 25-1 record. Melrose will now move on to play Longmeadow in the state final Saturday at Algonquin High at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs dropped 25-16, 25-21, 25-18 decisions to Melrose. CANTON SPORTS SCOREBOARD: Volleyball to Face Melrose in Division 2 Semifinals Tuesday

The Canton High volleyball team defeated Medfield , 3-2, for the Central Division title Saturday at Hudson High to earn a spot in Tuesday's state semifinals against Melrose at Billerica High School in a 7 p.m. The winner will play for the state title Satu

The Canton High volleyball team will play Melrose Tuesday night at Billerica in a 7 p.m. start in the Division 2 state semifinals. The winner will advance to the state title game Saturday at Algonquin Regional in a 3 p.m. game. Saturday, the Bulldogs defeated a past tournament nemis Medfield, 3-2, after falling behind 2-0 at Hudson High. Medfield won 25-18 and 25-22, before the Dogs rallied 26-24, 25-22 and 15-9 to win their first sectional championship. Standouts for the Bulldogs were Julia Murphy, 25 kills, nine blocks and three aces, Avery Devone, 17 kills and seven blocks and Jackie Bornemann, nine kills, two aces and 17 digs. -The Canton High football …

Canton High Teams Move on in State Tournament

Thursday's weather has moved Canton High boys' soccer, girls' soccer and field hockey games to Friday

    It will be a big Friday for the Canton High fall sports team in the state tournament. The Canton High girls' field hockey team will be traveling to Apponequet for a 2:30 p.m. game in the Division 2 South semifinals in Lakeville. It will be a Canton soccer doubleheader in Duxbury Friday night. At 5 p.m., the Bulldogs girls' soccer team will be playing host Duxbury in the Division 2 South semifinals, followed by the Canton boys against Medway at 7 p.m. The Canton High volleyball team defeated Westborough, 3-1, Thursday night and now will play Medfield for the Central title, Saturday at Hudson High at 2:30 p.m. For all the tournament updates, go to miaa.net or http://www.edline.net/pages/CantonHighSchool/Departments/Athletics

Canton High Athletics Stay Alive in State Tournament

The Canton High boys' soccer, the girls' soccer, the field hockey and the volleyball teams are moving on in the state tournaments.

  The following is an update on the Canton High athletic teams for the school's website at http://www.edline.net/pages/CantonHighSchool/Departments/Athletics -The Canton High girls' volleyball team is moving on the quarterfinals of the Central tournament after blanking Foxborough, 3-0, Monday night at home. The Bulldogs will now be at home Thursday against either Medway or Westborough. Julia Murphy (11 kills and five aces), Avery Devone (nine kills and four blocks) and Jackie Bornemann (four kills and seven aces) were standouts for the Bulldogs in the win over Foxborough.  -The Canton High girls' field hockey team will be traveling to Apponequet Wednesday for a 2:30 p.m. in the Division 2 South semifinals. Canton High Fall Athletic Teams Move on in State Tournament

The Canton High boys' soccer, girls' soccer and field hockey teams are moving on in the state tournament, while volleyball team will be starting Monday night.

  The Canton High fall athletic teams are moving on in the tournament. Monday, the Canton High field hockey team will be moving on to play at Old Rochester Regional in a 2:30 p.m in a match-up of fourth and fifth seeds. Alex Dillion scored with two minutes left in the final overtime period, beating Dedham, 2-1, Saturday in the first round tournament game. Katie Kelleher add the other goal for the Bulldogs. After beating Norwood, 2-1, on penalty kicks Friday, the Canton High boys' soccer team is moving on in the Division 2 South tournament to face Southeastern Regional in South Easton Monday at 4 p.m. With one minute left in the game, the Bulldogs' Matt Lennon scored to tie the game at one and prevent Canton from being upset in the first …

Tourney Time for Canton High Athletic Teams

The Canton High field hockey, boys' soccer and girls' soccer teams will be in action in the state tournament.

  It's tourney time for the Canton High athletic teams. The Canton High field hockey team will be playing Dedham Saturday at 4 p.m. at home in the first round of the Division 2 South tournament.With a 12-1-4 record, the Bulldogs are seeded fifth in the tournament. The winner will move on to face the Martha's Vineyard-Plymouth South versus Old Rochester winner in the quarterfinals. -The Canton boys' soccer team is seeded 12th the Division 2 South tournament after finishing the season with 9-6-2 record. The Bulldogs will host the 21st Norwood Mustangs (5-12-1) Friday at 6 p.m. -The Canton High girls' soccer team is seeded fourth in the Division 2 South tournament with a 14-1-1 record and will play the 13th seeded Dighton-Rehoboth Falcons (10…

Canton Patch Sports Scoreboard: Bulldog Football to Face Unbeaten Sharon

The Canton High football team is looking to knock off unbeaten Sharon tonight at home at 6 p.m.

  FOOTBALL-A key Hockomock League Davenport Division game will take place tonight when the 1-2 Canton Bulldogs face the 4-0 Sharon Eagles in a 6 p.m. game at Canton High. This is the first league game for both schools. The Eagles own victory over Dedham, Rockland, North Quincy and Taunton, 21-20, while Bulldogs' win came against Quincy, while they have lost to Abington and Attleboro in a heart-breaking 26-20 loss last Friday. Against the Blue Bombardiers, Canton going out to a 14-7 lead before Attleboro rallied for the win. The Bulldogs got touchdowns from Dexter Green, Shane Nordgren and Ellis Camacho. Canton High Sports Scoreboard: Bulldog Boys' Soccer Team Edges Sharon

A late goal gave the Canton High boys' soccer team a 2-1 win over Canton Monday night.

  BOYS SOCCER-Canton evened its record at 3-3 with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over the rival Sharon Eagles, Monday night. Bart O'Brien got the winning goal with just three minutes left in the game. Michael Denehy scored the other goal on a penatly shot. The Eagles will be home Friday night to face Foxborough in a 6 p.m. game.
