Major Concern: I live on Chestnut Road and am concerned about new water main installation and the rupturing of existing water lines in our slab ranch. If water volume is increased to accomodate hydrants, will there also be an increase in line pressure? Thank you for your time. Robert Taber, 6 Chestnut Road   more ›

Residents have reportedly received calls from individuals who claim they work for the water department, but town officials say the department does not test water in individual homes.

The Canton Water Department issued an announcement this week, warning residents of potential callers who claim they are from the department looking to test water in local homes. The statement, as it appears on the Canton town website, is as follows:  We have received calls from residents that callers identifying themselves as working for the water department request to come into residents homes to test their water. These calls are not from the water department. The water department does not test the water in individual homes.
