NVCC Honors Incoming Chairman of the Board Kevin Hallinan

The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce named new chairman.

The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce held its 118th Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on January 19, 2011 at Showcase mive-Patriot Place to honor 2011’s outstanding members and retiring board Members. Kevin Hallinan of WINNING, Inc. was named the 2012 chairman of the board. “I am honored and excited to take the reins of an already strong and vibrant organization, and to lead NVCC through 2012," Hallinan said. Hallinan is a principal of WINNING, Incorporated and has over 22 years of sales, training, and management experience. A trainer and mentor, and an award-winning sales producer, Kevin has provided training and coaching to hundreds of companies in numerous industries. Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce Holding Annual Gala

The 13th annual Flavors of Neponset Valley Galley is set for March.

The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Flavors of Neponset Valley Gala. The annual event will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 5:30-9:00 pm at Christina’s, Route One, Foxboro. This gala will showcase fabulous offerings from over 60 of the area’s finest restaurants, caterers, confectioners, vineyards, boutique brews, spirits, and other taste sensations. The evening will include live music from the Neponset Philharmonic and the White Heat Swing Band –famous for backing Tony Bennett- and a silent auction of gift baskets, wine, gift certificates, and more. Economic Forecast: Out of Recession, Not Out of the Woods

The NVCC invited a three-person panel to speak about the economy for the next fiscal year.

The recession may be over, but it doesn't quite feel like it. This was the general theme of the Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce's breakfast Tuesday morning at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood. The event included a buffet breakfast and a three-person panel on the economic forecast for the next fiscal year, and was attended by business people from several surrounding communities. Speakers included Michael J. Widmer, President of the Massachusetts Taxpayers Foundation; George Donnelly, Editor of Boston Business Journal; and Michael Goodman, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Policy at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
