Tree Lighting Delights

Canton held the annual holiday tree lighting Thursday night and Santa stopped by for a visit.

The annual Canton Tree Lighting Ceremony delighted children and adults Thursday night at Town Hall. Santa himself appeared and greeted all the children in the crowd with a hearty Ho Ho Ho and smiles were witnessed all around. About 100 families, community members and children gathered to watch the display and were treated to both carols and standard holiday favorites. Members of the the Canton High School and the eighth grade choruses, led by Sarah Collmer, Coordinator of Performing Arts for the Canton School District, peformed Members of a dance troupe from Dance Out, a dance academy located in Canton, entertained the crowd.
