When Canton Patch first launched, editors and reporters ventured to local businesses in order to collect information for our Directory. Now, Patch Directory is a spot where users can find descriptions, hours, accepted payment methods and more. All users can add events taking place at local spots, rate the business on a scale of one to five stars and add a review. But owners of local businesses get extra bonuses when they claim a listing. Canton Patch has a free and easy way for local business owners and managers to reach out to their customers and the community. On the Patch website, business owners and managers can now claim their free, directory listings. Simply go to www.canton.patch.com/places and click on "claim your listing." Fill out the quick form and submit it. Once approved, the manager or owner will be able to add events, comments, photos and business updates to the listing. On Canton Patch, the directory is called Places and features every business in town. Folks can search for Canton shops, restaurants, salons, banks and more.
