East wind increasing 12-18mph. 2. Nighttime hydrant flushing in Canton has ended. During the week of Monday, April 22, daytime hydrant flushing will occur between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. 3. Students of Canton Public Schools return to the classroom today after a week off for April Vacation.  4. The Canton School Committee will meet on Thursday this week, April 25. 5. The Canton Police Department assisted in a shooting reported outside the Whiplash Night Club in Stoughton on Saturday night.

1. The Irish Cultural Centre is hosting live music tonight from 8 p.m. on. 2. Canton's Jack McGowan is hoping to play for Team Massachusetts at Football University in Texas Jan. 2-6. The team is raising money for the trip to Texas. 3. Stop by the Blue Hills Brewery for a complimentary tour and tasting today from 3:30-6:30 p.m. and Saturday 2-6 p.m. 4. Canton officials have posted a reminder to residents about regulations on parking on Greenlodge Street on the town of Canton's website. 5. 5 Thing, Nov. 27: Canton Department of Recreation Needs Volunteer Coaches

There will be a coaches meeting tonight at the Recreation Department.

1. At 10:30 a.m. today, there is a storytime program at the Canton Public Library for ages 2-5.  No registration necessary. 2. A Portrait Workshop will be held tonight from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Canton Public Library Art and Activities Room.  3. The Canton Department of Recreation needs volunteer coaches, all levels. There will be a coaches meeting at 7 p.m. at the Recreation Department. Please bring a valid driver's license to the meeting. 4. From 7:30-9 p.m. the Library Trustees will have a meeting in the Conference Room at the Canton Public Library. 5. The Canton Board of Selectmen are meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in the Salah Meeting Room at Canton Town Hall to go over the current agenda.

1. Drivers along Rte. I-93/I-95 in Canton now have the ability to drive in a fourth travel lane along the highway, according to a recentupdate from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. 2. At 10 a.m. at the Canton Council on Aging there is an English as a Second Language class. 3. There is a 10:30 a.m. exercise class over at the Blue Hills Wellness Center.  4. The Paul Revere Village will hold its annual meeting at the Canton Public Library tonight from 7-9 p.m. in the library community room. 5. At 7 p.m. there is a Zoning Board of Appeals meeting in the Salah Meeting Room at Town Hall to go over the Current Agenda.
