Foxborough Football Gets Momentum-Building Win Against Canton

The Foxborough Warriors were victorious against the Canton Bulldogs, winning 35-19.

Last week Foxborough found themselves in a midst of a 27-0 blowout to the Attleboro Blue Bombardiers. Eight days later, it was role reversal for the Warriors. “It certainly was day and night between last Friday and today (Saturday),” said Foxborough Head Coach Jack Martinelli. Led by a running game that trammeled the Canton Bulldogs, the Warriors found themselves as the victors in a 35-19 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday. The difference in the Warriors could be seen from the opening play. Canton Cross Country Beats Foxborough

The Foxborough Warriors fell to the Canton Bulldogs 27-31.

Despite a couple of good times from both teams, the Foxborough Warriors fell to the Canton Bulldogs 27-31 while the Canton girls were able to achieve a perfect score winning 15-50. On the boys side, first place went to Brendan Sullivan. The All-Hock runner finished the 5K course with a time of 17:18 to the delight of Foxboro Coach Kim Giannouloudis. “Great time. Great runner. Hard worker. He’s got it all,” Giannouloudis said. Not far behind was first time XC runner Kevin Aldrich. The junior capped off his cross-country debut with a time of 18:10. “He’s my surprise runner. I think he is going to come out and surprise a lot of people," Giannouloudis said. Despite getting the top two times, Canton did the most damage going after Foxboro’s …

Foxborough Charter School Looks Forward To January

New classroom building opens then. Classes start Tuesday in modulars.

Foxborough Regional Charter School students start the school year Tuesday, but will end the school year in a slightly different place. All kids will move into the 27-classroom middle and high school addition in January, Executive Director Mark Logan said. The school serves about 1,200 students from 20 area communities including Attleboro, Avon, Brockton, Canton, Easton, Foxboro, Mansfield, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Norfolk, North Attleboro, Norton, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Stoughton, Walpole, West Bridgewater and Wrentham. The new classrooms will replace the K-12 school's 26 modular classrooms. The charter school has had modular classrooms since 2004, adding more since then.
