UPDATED: Canton Storm Center: Tracking the New England Blizzard

Be sure to check the Patch Live Blog during the blizzard this weekend! In what could be the biggest snow storm New England has seen in more than two years, Canton could be among the communities in Massachusetts to see nearly two feet of the white stuff this weekend.   With the lastest forecast, the National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch for most of eastern Massachusetts including Canton, calling it a "potential historic winter storm". Residents can expect the potential of snow falling at 3-to-4 inches per hour and wind gusts of more thsan 20 miles per hour. Canton Storm Info Center: Numbers to Keep on Hand During Hurricane Sandy

Here's a list of non-emergency numbers that could be useful if the storm causes problems.

Update (3:20 p.m.) - The Canton Police Department reported a large tree down on York Brook Road. As of 3:24 p.m., NSTAR reported that 77 customers in Canton were without power. Update (11:50 a.m.) - Schools in Canton will remain closed Monday due to Hurricane Sandy; all after-school activities, practices, games and events are also cancelled. State office buildings will closed Monday, as will municipal offices in Canton.
