Drunk Driver Sent to Jail After Killing Stoughton Woman in Canton

Auricelli Braga pled guilty Wednesday in Norfolk Superior Court to charges stemming from a June 2012 car crash which killed a 64-year-old Stoughton woman, according to the Norfolk County DA's office. Braga is not a legal resident of this country.

The unlicensed illegal immigrant drunk driver from Stoughton who crossed the center line of Rte. 138 in Canton on June 24, 2012, striking and killing Sara Escudero, a 64-year-old Stoughton woman, was sent to jail Wednesday, according to a press release from the office of Norfolk County District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey. Auricelli Braga, 32, from Stoughton, pled guilty in Norfolk Superior Court to both charges against her: Motor Vehicle Homicide by Negligent Operation while Operating Under the Influence and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, according to the DA's office. “The judge imposed 2.5 years in the house of correction with two years incarcerated and the balance suspended during 5 years of supervised probation," Morrissey …

High-Risk Offenders Top Probation's Statewide Most Wanted List, Including One in Norfolk County

The Massachusetts Probation Service released its second statewide Most Wanted list. It includes Michael Washington, 56, who is being sought by Norfolk Superior Court for armed burglary, home invasion and armed assault.

The Massachusetts Probation Service released its second statewide Most Wanted list of Probation violators this year, which includes one man wanted in Norfolk County. This list features offenders with an extensive history of violent and assaultive behavior. Probationers include a level 3 sex offender and those convicted of home invasion, armed assault to murder, armed robbery and rape of a child with force. One defendant has had 11 restraining orders from several different victims. Another probationer, considered to be “very dangerous” by probation and police, was recently released from prison after serving time for armed robbery. “The probationers we highlight on the Most Wanted list have been charged and convicted of very serious crimes. …
