Norton Boys' Basketball Waltz Past Canton 55-39
With the win, the Lancers advance to the quarterfinals on the MIAA Division 3 South Tournament.
From the opening tip-off to the final buzzer, there was little doubt concerning which team was stronger during Norton’s showdown with Canton in the first round of the MIAA Division 3 South tournament. Still recovering from their preliminary match against Abington from earlier in the week, the 12th seeded Bulldogs struggled against No. 5 Norton as the Lancers walked away with a convincing 55-39 win. Starting the game on an 8-2 run, the Lancers were able to find penetration into the low post to quickly build a double digit lead that would exist for most of the game.
