The race begins at 8:30 a.m. with a kids 1-mile "fun run".
The 8th Annual Reebok Canton Road Race returns to the streets of Canton today. The event, presented by the Canton Association of Business and Industries (CABI), will take place at Reebok International LTD in Canton. Stephen Cesso, member of CABI, is this year's race director. Likewise, companies or organizations wishing to create and register a team can do so at CantonRoadRace.org. Schedule of Road Race: The annual event raises money for Canton organizations, such as the Canton Police and Fire Departments, as well as the Massachusetts Hospital School, and the Canton Food Pantry. 1. The Jewish Holiday of Rosh Hashannah begins on Sunday evening. There will be no school for students and staff on Monday and Tuesday. 2. The Reebok 8th Annual Road Race will kick off at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, an event that begins at Reebok World Headquarters in Canton. At 8:30 a.m. is the kids 1 mile fun run, 8:55 a.m. with the wheelchair race and at 9 a.m. the 5K and 10K begin. Tee shirts for the first 500 participants. Proceeds support local area public services and non-profits. 3. Also on Saturday, at 7 p.m., is the new season for the Canton Public Library "Open Book Coffeehouse" with musical guests 'Hungrytown'. The Canton School Committee will be meeting Thursday night at Canton High School.
1. Before school starts Sept. 5, the Canton School Committee will be meeting Thursday, Aug. 30 at the CHS Distance Learning Lab.
