Irish Cultural Center to Host First St. Patrick's Day 5K

The race begins at 10 a.m. this Sunday, but the celebration kicks off at 9 a.m. right in Canton!

Runners and celebrators of St. Patrick's Day will be in good company in Canton this weekend.  The reason? The Irish Cultural Centre, located on New Boston Drive in Canton, will be holding its first St. Patrick's Day 5K on Sunday, March 17, according to the ICC's website. For a small registration fee of $25, walkers, runners, strollers and wheelchairs will be able to take part in the "flat-as-a-pancake" race, according to the ICC. The event will also feature free parking, an indoor bathroom and an after party with live music by Auld Locals. And yes, Guinness and Smithwicks will be available on tap. Canton Road Race Coming in September

The annual CABI/Reebok International Race is set for September 15.

Get your running shoes ready, Canton athletes! The 8th Annual CABI/Reebok Road Race is scheduled for September 15 in Canton. Stephen Cesso is this year's race director and also a member of CABI, (Canton Association of Business and Industry.) The race is being held at Reebok's headquarters in Canton and will also allow walkers. 23rd Annual Canton Fall Classic Road Race Postponed to November 6

The Fall Classic scheduled for Sunday morning is being postponed due to the snow.

By Adrienne Jacobson The Canton Fall Classic road race was postponed due to the storm that hit our area on Sunday, October 30.  Although this was a difficult decision to make, the police chief and race organizers agreed that the safety of our community and racers must take precident. The road race will now celebrate its 23rd year on Sunday, November 6, offering more than $2400 in cash and merchandise prizes. Runners and walkers are invited to join us next week for Fall Classic’s 10K and 5K competitive distances, and for the 1 Mile Fun Run.  The race begins at 10:00 a.m. (Fun Run at 9:45am), Temple Beth Abraham, 1301 Washington St., Canton. HarborOne Renews Sponsorship of Canton Association of Business and Industries Homecoming Road Race

The bank is sponsoring the September road race to raise funds for Canton.
