How Much Snow Will Canton Get on Saturday?

A second storm is headed to the area and could make driving hazardous on Saturday.

A second storm of the week is headed toward New England and will dump more snow onto the area on Saturday. 7News meteorologists are predicting Canton to get between 2 to 4 inches of snow in the storm that is expected to start on Saturday afternoon and spread into the early hours of Sunday. The good news is that snow removal shouldn’t be a backbreaking endeavour. CBSBoston’s Todd Gutner said the snow will be “dry and fluffy for most,” though he warned that driving could be hazardous at times on Saturday.

There's No Business Like Snow Business

For some, the snow means a little extra green.

For most folks, more snow means aching backs and a huge headache. But for some lucky businesses, the white stuff means more green in their wallets. The local supermarkets thrive during the New England winters thanks to the plethora of storms and Blizzard of 78-preparedness. Locals can not hunker down for a storm without their milk, eggs and bread. At Shaw's in Canton, the parking lot was difficult to navigate as cars were driving during the intense snow and low visibility. Shoppers ran in to buy the New England essentials before this week's two-part storm hit full swing. Aisles were packed with customers at 1o:00 a.m. Tuesday.  According to a check-out clerk, "This place has been busy since I got here at 8:30 this morning." A customer …

Snow Way!

Where to put it? Another 12-16 inches of snow on the way for Norfolk County.

How high are the snow piles on your street? Sadly, they are about to get even higher. The National Weather Service is predicting 12 to 16 inches of powder to get dumped on the Canton area over the course of the next three days. A winter storm warning is in effect from 6:00 a.m Tuesday until 1:00 a.m. Thursday. A sign that it is a bad winter: When Canton, Georgia competes with Canton, Mass., for snowfall. Anyone up for an early spring break in Malibu?

Say It Ain't Snow!

Nor'easter arriving tonight and dumping another six to 10 inches on Canton.

Mother Nature is making this one tough winter. The state is preparing for Nor'easter number two of 2011 to bring another six to ten inches of snow to the Canton area Wednesday night through Thursday morning. The National Weather Service is predicting the snow to arrive after 3:00 p.m. today, with less than one inch accumulating during the day. But come tonight, the Nor'easter will bring a low temperature around 23 degrees with wind gusts up to 41 mph and dump up to ten inches of new snow. The snowfall should stop by about 11:00 a.m. Thursday and bring sunny skies with a high of 32 degrees. Leaving us all plenty of daylight hours to dig out, again. The real issue now, where to put the mounds of snow?
