Rabbi David Paskin of Temple Beth Abraham Releases a New CD

T'filati My Prayer: A Musical Journey through the Siddur

This past Sunday, Nov. 25, Rabbi David Paskin of Temple Beth Abraham in Canton will be releasing his newest CD entitled, "T'filati My Prayer: A Musical Journey through the Siddur." Rabbi David is known as the "Rock & Roll Rabbi" who brings songs into prayer and is known around the country for his music. T'filati is his 6th CD with all proceeds going back to Temple Beth Abraham. His music is joyful and upbeat and has been used all over the country at summer camps, religious schools and homes. PHOTOS: The 2012 Canton Fall Classic Road Race

The weather held out and there were a record number of runners for the 2012 Canton Fall Classic Road Race.

The Canton Fall Classic Road Race celebrated its 24th year on Sunday, Oct. 28 with a record breaking number of runners. This year the parking lot at Temple Beth Abraham was over flowing with vendors giving out free samples. It is considered to be one of the more scenic road races in the South Shore with a tough but beautiful course. The 5K offers a competitive alternative for those interested in a shorter and faster race. Both the 5K and 10K courses are accurate, wheel measured with split time and water stations. The Fun Run was fun and the kids did a great job. The runners who registered before Oct. 15 received long sleeve dri-fit tee shirt with the race sponsors listed on the back. Today take a class in T'ai Chi or line dancing at St. Gerards Church.

  1. There's a 9 a.m. T-ai Chi class at the Canton Council on Aging. Then at 10 a.m. join Robin Giampa for Ladies Room. 2. At 10:30 a.m. it's Storytime at the  Canton Public Library for ages 2 1/2 to 5 1/2. No registration necessary. Location: Library Children's Room  3. 1:30 p.m. there's line dancing at St. Gerards Church. This class is sponsored by the Canton Council on Aging. 4. At 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct 28, get ready for the Canton Department of Recreation Halloween Parade. The parade begins at the Bank of Canton parking lot. Temple Beth Abraham Hosts Lego Event on March 18

Canton kids will reconstruct the Old City with Legos.

Rome may not have been built in a day, but, at Temple Beth Abraham in Canton, the community is invited to build the Old City of Jerusalem in just two hours. Instead of using bricks, stone and mortar, architect Stephen Schwartz will lead the group in the reconstruction of the a 16 foot x 16 foot model of the Old City made entirely of Lego bricks. Over 60,000 Legos will be available to build the model that will include many of the architectural elements of Jerusalem. Each builder will be given a particular piece of the city to build and towards the end of the program, every building and wall will be put together to create the model. Schwartz has been leading these building events across the northeast and Temple Beth Abraham is honored that …

Temple Beth Abraham in Canton Receives Commendation for Community Service

The Canton temple received praise from the Norfolk County Sheriff.

Temple Beth Abraham received a commendation from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for its efforts in supplying food and toiletries to the Canton Food Pantry.   In 2011, the congregants of Temple Beth Abraham, led by the Social Action Committee, collected record amounts of much needed necessities for the those in our community that need assistance. Michael G.
