Members of the United Church of Christ in Canton rallied for a cause. UCC Canton participated in Rally for Safe Neighborhoods. The event was sponsored by Mothers for Justice and Equality and the City Mission Society of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ. It was held at the Reggie Lewis Center at Roxbury Community College earlier this month.

The community of the United Church of Christ in Canton welcomed three, new adult members to the congregation on Sunday, January 15. The three members are Mindy Milman, Nadia Bernard and Jonathan Bazile. As is customary, during the Service of Welcome, they were formally introduced by their sponsors Gloria Strandskov (Nadia and Jonathan's) and Carl Lindquist (Mindy's.) All of the new members had been attending services, and joined the church choir prior to becoming members. Though most members of the UCC join the church as teenagers as part of their Confirmation, the UCC ministry welcomes adults to join on an ongoing basis.
