Just in time for Valentine’s Day season, Dunkin’ Donuts has two delicious ways for sweethearts to show their love. The Cupid’s Choice Donut is a heart-shaped donut filled with Bavarian Kreme, topped with strawberry icing and a festive mix of pink, white and red heart-shaped sprinkles. The new Chocolate Heart Donut is a chocolate frosted heart-shaped donut with vanilla buttercreme filling, topped with chocolate chips. Dr. and Mrs. Theodore Goodman talk about the keys to their successful marriage on Valentine's Day.
They were set up on a blind date in 1951, and 60 years later they are still going strong. Doris and Ted Goodman say the secret to a successful life together is to give each other respect, do not go to bed mad and do not hold a grudge. “You can’t stay together for 60 years if you don’t have some sort of tolerance of different ideas…and respect for each other is very important,” said Doris, adding the couple was friends first, though Ted argues he fell in love with her the moment he met her. The couple met at a fraternity party while students at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Their names were matched up alphabetically when the list of boys was aligned with the list of girls to see which boy would invite which girl to the dance. …

It’s about that time, parents–Valentine’s Day is almost upon us. Ah, yes the wondrous day is filled with candy hearts, chocolate, roses and Hallmark greeting cards filled with sweet sentiments. Maybe you will make dinner reservations at a nice restaurant with your significant other or maybe you will be tearing your hair out when your child shares with you at the last moment that you need to buy a couple dozen cheesy Valentine cards for him or her to pass out at school the very next day.
