Monday Martini Celebration at the Halfway Cafe

A group of local residents took part in painting pottery while enjoying drinks Monday night in Canton.

Canton Patch caught up with the ladies at Halfway Cafe engaged in pottery painting from Ceramics a la Carte and enjoying a variety complimentary appetizers.

Business Spotlight: The Halfway Cafe

Find out what specials are being held this St. Patrick's Day at the local restaurant.

The Halfway Cafe, located at in the Cobbs Corner Shopping Plaza, usually has some new great deal up its sleeve. Whether the "8 Meals for $8", Tasting Tuesdays or another 5K Road Race in June, the Halfway Cafe always comes up with something new and fun for their customers. Canton Patch sat down with Tom Cahillane, manager of the restaurant's nearby Cobbs Corner location to find out more about the restaurant and what the eatery was planning for St. Patrick's Day festivities this year. 5 Things, Nov 12: Veteran's Day Roundup

There will be no school today in honor of Veterans Day.

  1. Canton Public Schools and The Canton Public Library are closed today in recognition of Veterans Day, which took place Sunday. How about going over to the Blue Hills Reservation for a hike up Big Blue? There are miles of trails to explore. You could get a good work out going up and down the ski trail before the snow comes.  2. The Metropolis Skating Rink is open today for public skating from 9:30-11:20 a.m. It's great exercise but dress warm - it's cold in the rink! 3. Ladies Night at Ceramics a la Carte

A little wine and some paint makes for the perfect cocktail.

  Ceramics a la Carte likes to put a spin on ladies night. Cathy Walsh, owner of Ceramics a la Carte put out a Groupon and recieved a huge response. Tonight the ladies shared wine, beer and complimentary appetizers from the Halfway Cafe Restaurant a few doors down in the Village Shoppes. There are other planned nights including canvas painting and glass fusing. While you're at Ceramics a la Carte, check out the tee shirt line and other accessories including a mouse pad, iphone covers, mugs and glasses which are decorated with art work from local artists.

Mark your calendars for Sept. 17, when Ceramics a la Carteand The Halfway Cafe located in The Village Shoppes, come together for another festive evening of painting your own pottery while enjoying complimentary appetizers provided by the Halfway Cafe.
