Canton Police Log: Larceny of a Motor Vehicle at David's Tire and Auto

Tuesday, Dec. 25 3:29 a.m. - A 40-year-old female Stoughton motorist was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and marked lanes violation on Bolivar Street. Wednesday, Dec. 26 2:38 p.m. - Larceny of a motor vehicle at David's Tire and Auto on Turnpike Street.  4:04 p.m. - There was a motor vehicle accident on Washington Street and Ponkapoag. A 50-year-old Revere woman was driving an unlicensed motor vehicle. 6:28 p.m. - A motor vehicle stop of a 31-year-old Randolph motorist who was driving with a suspended license, motor vehicle lights violation on Sherman and Pleasant Streets. Canton's Buffalo Lodging Associates Names Regional Revenue Manager

The Canton-based company made the promotion.

Buffalo Lodging Associates in Canton, which operates Homewood Suites, announced that Jo-Anne Azevedo has been promoted to regional revenue manager. Azevedo is responsible for organizing and implementing revenue management efforts across assigned hotels in the company’s Midwest region. She is based out of Buffalo Lodging’s corporate office in Canton, Massachusetts. A hospitality professional with more than 17 years experience, Jo-Anne joined Buffalo Lodging Associates in 2003 as the opening director of sales for the Courtyard by Marriott Providence/Lincoln hotel in Lincoln, Rhode Island. Canton's Newest Hotel is Now Open

Homewood Suites opened its newest hotel in Canton this week.

Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of all-suite, residential-style hotels, announced the opening of its newest property in Canton. The four-story, 98-suite hotel is owned by Benderson Development Company, Inc. and managed by Buffalo Lodging Associates. Homewood Suites, Canton's First Hotel, Announces Management

The soon-to-open Canton hotel is located on Royall Street.

Featured Announcement: Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC, a hotel development and third party management company, is proud to announce William (Bill) Hines as general manager and Macaire Matchett as director of sales for the Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel currently under development in Canton. The new hotel is located 16 miles south of Boston at 50 Royall Street in Canton. This will be the first hotel to open in the Town of Canton. Hines first joined Buffalo Lodging in 2006 as a regional vice president, a position he held until 2009 when he left to pursue other opportunities. Highlights from the Canton Board of Selectmen: Liquor License, Sidewalk Dining and New Auto Sales

The Canton Board of Selectmen discussed several issues including adding a liquor license to Homeward Suites and sidewalk tables to Chubby Chickpea.

At this week's Board of Selectmen meeting in Canton, members discussed proposals to add a liquor license to a hotel, outdoor seating to a downtown eatery and a new car lot. The next Board of Selectmen meeting is Tuesday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall.
