Viewfinder: Buy Fresh and Local at Canton Farmers Market

A variety of fresh locally grown fruit, vegetables and locally caught seafood are available every Thursday afternoon this summer at the Canton Farmers Market.

For the second summer in a row, the Canton Farmers Market is being held at the Mass Hospital School, where you will find a small assortment of produce, plants, seafood and other goods from local farms and suppliers. The Farmers Market will be running every Thursday afternoon from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm throughout August. C.N. Smith Farm in East Bridgewater is providing the majority of fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs and flowers available for purchase at the market. Jordan Bros. Seafood, a direct supplier for restaurants and fish markets including Main Course in Canton, will also be there weekly with a variety of the freshest, never frozen seafood.

"He also sustained a broken ankle from the fall." It took Canton firefighters three hours to find the "hidden fire, access it and extinguish it," according to the fire chief. Crews had to create two holes to get to the blaze. Six …
