The Annual Prints and Holiday Pottery Sale starts today at the Massasoit Community College Akillian Gallery from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. One of a kind gifts from the student body and faculty at the shool. Art Work by Mass Hospital School Students featured at The Akillian Gallery

Changing Perceptions and Celebrating Differences Through Art

  Imaginative and observationally inspired works by the students at the Mass Hospital School are on display through Nov 30 at the Akillian Gallery at Massasoit Community College. There are forty pieces which include monoprints, paintings, flower rubbings, collage and textile art. The mission of The Massachusetts Hospital School, founded in 1907, is to provide medical, habilitative, rehabilitative, recreational, educational and vocational services to children and young adults with multiple disabilities and assisting them to achieve their maximum level of independence in all aspects of life. Massasoit Community College Plants a Tree in Memory of Sean Bowman

On the Canton Campus of Massasoit Community College, a tree was planted in the memory of student Sean Bowman.

On Wednesday, May 16, 2012, the Canton Campus of the Massasoit Community College held a tree and plaque dedication in memory of Sean Bowman, a student who passed at the age of 28 while enrolled in the Massasoit Community College Architectural Engineering Technology Program. Sean excelled academically to earn Deans List recognition throughout the program. He was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Society and was a proud and active member.

At 6:30 A.M. The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer begins at the University of Massachhusetts in Boston. The walk will go to Reebok World Headquarters in Canton and then turn around and go back again. Reebok International is proud to be a national sponsor of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and celebrates its seventh year as sponsor for this two-day event. If you aren't able to participate in the two day walk then why not join the Blue Hills Adult Walking Club at 1:00 P.M. for a 4-mile loop around Ponkapoag Pond on the green dot trail. Canton College Helping with Financial Aid Forms as Part of FAFSA Day

In keeping with the Patrick-Murray Administration’s efforts to make college more affordable for Massachusetts students, ten Massachusetts public colleges and universities will take part FAFSA Day. Colleges, including Massasoit Community College in Canton, which takes place on Monday, January 30, are joining a national campaign to help students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The 8TH annual FAFSA Day is aimed at providing free assistance to anyone entering college in 2012 – with the goal of helping 2,012 Massachusetts students fill out their FAFSAs this year.
