Pequitside Farm Welcomes the Easter Bunny

The field was filled with candy for all to put in their Easter Baskets.

Pequitside Farm, a 33-acre park that was acquired by the Town Of Canton in June 1971 hosts many events for families throughout the year. On Saturday April 7 the farm had an Easter Egg Hunt that drew record numbers of parents and children. Candy was thrown out onto the fields and the kids gleefully stood at the starting line in anticipation of what they were about to find. Baskets were overflowing with candy treats. Caroline Titus, DJ Gary Titus' daughter, was the DJ for this event. She played party tunes and the children had fun dancing and singing along.

Summer Camp Spotlight: Pequitside Day Camp in Canton

Games, crafts and swimming all summer in Canton.

Pequitside Day Camp, offered through the Canton Recreation Department and held at Pequitside Farm, is a summer day camp for children ages six to 11. The camp runs in two-week sessions from June 27 – August 19 this year. Here, they gravitate toward what they’re interested in.” A typical day begins with structured free…

Summer Fun and Safety Fair in Canton

The Canton Board of Health organized a huge Summer Fun and Safety Fair at beautiful Pequitside Farm on Saturday.

Sponsored and organized by the Board of Health, many members of the Canton Fire Department and Canton Police Department also staffed information booths filled with critical summer safety information. Meanwhile, attendees were given equal parts fun to go along with the education, including the inflatable moonwalk, the petting zoo and the hay ride, which gave passengers a great overview of the beauty of Pequitside Farm. Attendance at this free event was high, considering one of the main safety draws was the Childhood ID program. The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Pequitside Farm was forced indoors Saturday, but there was still plenty of eggs, candy and the Easter Bunny for the kids who made it out.
