Boston Rob, Rob Mariano, won on his fourth foray on Survivor.
Boston Rob has every right to be tired. This Canton native, who picked up the Survivor: Redemption Island million-dollar prize on last night’s season finale, has been playing the game for over a decade. “I’ve played the game for 117 days,” Rob Mariano told Canton Patch in an interview today. “I finally got what I was trying to achieve.” In his fourth attempt at winning big on the reality television show, Boston Rob survived to the end and cleaned up, taking home the $1 million prize. “I’m really happy and the fans have been great,” Mariano, who dropped 35 pounds while filming, said. All the drama, cat-fighting and trickery was worth it. Boston Rob survived his fourth foray on reality TV's mega-show, Survivor: Redemption Island taking home the million dollar prize. Guess the fourth time is the charm. And as the Canton native said tonight, 116 days on Survivor spanning his 10-year reality-TV career is nothing to joke about. Contestants were all business on day 38 of Survivor: Redemption Island during the final challenge tonight–and Boston Rob claimed the final immunity! As he claimed his immunity, he paid tribute to his wife Amber (a former Survivor winner) and shed a few tears. Congrats to our million-dollar Canton-man!
