ReplyKaren L: You sound like a responsible dog owner. Hopefully, you're dogs are well behaved in the car. I see these animals display such a range of behavior in vehicles, it is understandable why there is the occasional push for restraints.

"Combat duty needs to come with 2 years guaranteed employment...."
How about at least a year of paid vacation. Similar to what they call in academia, a "sabbatical".

Of course not, Bonnie. Sidewalks are public property.
Anyone riding a bike, a scooter, roller blades, or a dog, should not be banned. -

Technically, I do not HAVE to cross the street. I choose to because I can't predict what a dog and his walker is going to do as I approach. Maybe we need ANOTHER law.

ReplyWhat will be the effect of a "meal tax holiday" be on local revenue? Would Seekonk lose out? If so, how much?
There seems to be no opposition. Speak now or forever hold your peace.
Chairman Almeida. Are you aware of this proposal and it's details? -

ReplyFinally! A place for us "haters" to vent!
I am sick and tired of having to leave the sidewalk and cross the street to make room for a stranger and her dog! (you know who you are) -

I don't know why the government concluded Fort Hood was "work place violence".
One thing I am pretty sure of is that after 9/11, insurance companies worked their "magic" and determined acts of terror were not covered.Have the powers that be concluded that the Boston attack was an "act of terror" in the legal sense? If so, there may be many businesses who might be without recourse.

Do you ever stand back and look at us, Carol? No one is going to take us (U.S.) seriously if we try to teach anyone anything. IMO, we have lost our standing on the world stage. All we've got left is brute force. And that's not going to last and it is nothing to be proud of. .

I am being reflective, Carol. And serious.
