ReplyI don't take sides on these issues, but I am curious about something. Those who are opposed to government intrusion on people's lives (which almost all of us are with limited exceptions, but our exceptions differ), do you think there is at least an argument here that this bill is not to intrude on the life of the smoker, but to protect the life of the child, who has no ability to protect himself? A little kid can't prevent the adult from smoking in the car. Even if this bill passes, a person can still smoke in his/her, just as long as a kid is not in it.
